01

A useful starting point.

Eau de toilette, eau de parfum and extrait generally indicate relative fragrance concentration. The terms and percentage ranges are not universally standardised across houses.

02

More is not always louder.

A more concentrated version can feel closer, richer or differently textured. Projection and longevity depend on the formula and the volatility of its materials, not just a percentage.

03

The name is a clue, not a promise.

Two versions with the same fragrance name may have different compositions. Compare on skin rather than assuming an extrait is simply a stronger copy.
