Projection.
How far a fragrance seems to radiate from its wearer at a given time. It changes with the formula, application and conditions.
Sillage.
The impression or trail left as someone moves through a space. It is related to projection, but not an identical concept.
Longevity.
How long a fragrance remains perceptible. The wearer may adapt to it and stop noticing before others do. Neither strong projection nor long wear automatically means a better fragrance.
Choose presence with care.
Consider shared spaces and the people around you. Start with less. A fragrance can be meaningful without filling the room.
